About Us
At Fleet Social Bowling Club we are very proud of our club – not just for its excellent facilities (we have a six rink bowling green, separate male and female changing facilities and full use of the adjoining social club) but more importantly for its friendly, yet competitive, atmosphere. We have a strong bond of togetherness, and this is what makes us different from many other clubs.
We provide a warm welcome to both beginners and experienced players and there is plenty of patience and consideration on hand to assist new members whatever their ability. Beginners will be allocated a 'bowls buddy' when they join to allocate free tuition and guide them through the bowls season. The club has spare bowls available for use by beginners.
There are many opportunities for members to play as much or as little as they like – members can select the type of games and matches that best suit their lifestyle, whether it be friendlies against local teams, internal roll ups and practice, club competitions or league matches that are held throughout the season during the weekends or on weekdays.
The green is normally open from 10.30 am, 7 days a week, mid April to end September.
Membership of our bowling club brings the added benefit of being a member of our excellent social club - all part of the total package on joining. Members can use the fully staffed bar, which is well stocked with real ale, beers, wines and spirits and has an extensive range of soft drinks, plus tea and coffee. Hot snacks and light lunches are available on weekday lunchtimes and early evening.
A full sized snooker table, a dart board and a large screen TV are provided for members use as well as organised social activities, events and various entertainments that take place throughout the year.
Fleet Social Bowling Club is affiliated to a number of other bowling associations:
- Bowls England
- Bowls Hampshire

- Aldershot and District Bowling Association
- Stan Hardman League - all funds raised in competing for the Stan Hardman Cup go to local charities.
